The Nursing Foundation of Rhode Island (NFRI) was incorporated as a non-profit organization in the state of Rhode Island in 1991. The purpose of NFRI is to promote nursing in charitable, educational and scientific ways. Its mission is threefold:
Every day, nurses go above and beyond to provide compassionate care, comfort, and expertise to patients and families. They are the backbone of our healthcare system. Your donation helps us provide scholarships for aspiring nurses.
Every dollar makes a difference.
Together, we can empower nurses to keep doing what they do best: saving lives and caring for communities.
Donate Today and be part of a movement that values care, compassion, and excellence.
The Associate, Baccalaureate, RN to BSN, and Licensed Practical Nursing Scholarships are awarded to students enrolled in a nursing program who demonstrate financial need in addition to other requirements.
In memory of Clare Sullivan, RN, BS, MA, the Foundation initiated a Graduate Nurse Scholarship. Eligible applicants for a graduate nurse scholarship are registered nurses who are enrolled in an advanced program in nursing and who have maintained academic honors.
